AMF Chandler

This weekend’s event was at AMF Chandler Lanes.  The event drew 104 total entries (68 qualifying and 36 economy parlay), had 29 cashers, a 1 in 3.6 cash ratio and paid out over $5,100.00 in main and side event prize funds. The players bowled on a 44ft London oil pattern that played a lot tighter on the fresh, but once the pattern broke down, scoring sky rocketed.  We haven’t bowled on this pattern in quite a while, but the key was to get your ball into a roll and play a little straighter along the track.  Those that could do that were able to take advantage of the pattern.  We saw the average cut scores for the weekend were higher with the average cut being around +60 to qualify.  The winner of the free plastic bowling ball, with an option to upgrade to any high performance Track ball for $85.00, was Stefan Hilbig.

Our event this weekend was at AMF Chandler Lanes and we had good turnout with 67 total entries (49 qualifying and 18 economy parlay), 22 total cashers, and a 1 in 3.1 cash ratio and paid out over $3,100.00 in main and side event prize funds.  Players bowled on the Kegel 42ft Autobahn oil pattern. Most of the players played in the middle of the lane trying to push their ball out past the 2nd arrow.  This house typically has a lot of friction and it didn't take very long for the pattern to break down which forced players to move further left resulting in some very high scores.  Congrats to Charlie Price on shooting an impressive 805 series (258, 279, 268) today with his Track Precision bowling ball.  Since Charlie used a Track bowling ball to shoot his honor score, he will receive a free Track bowling ball of his choice.  Thank you to Track bowling for the continued support and sponsorship of our tournament club.

The event drew 94 total entries (63 qualifying & 31 parlays), had 24 cashers, a 1 in 3.9 cash ratio and paid out over $4,400.00 in main and side event prize funds! The players bowled on the PBA 52ft Badger oil pattern that had matched up well with some bowlers to produce some very high scores on the fresh and then scoring increased on the next squad. Most players were playing straight at the headpin or just left of 3^rd arrow and it seemed that the players that could control their ball speeds or had a higher rev rate faired the best throughout the day. It was a quirky pattern and was a change of pace for the regulars who haven’t bowled on a long pattern in a while.

Our Track Match Play Challenge event had a total of 47 entries today and paid out over $1,300.00 in main and side event prize fund! The players bowled on a 47ft Paris oil pattern that hooked a lot due to the lane surface at this bowling center. The players had to play the middle of the lane like most long patterns, but it was because anything outside of that would overreact by quite a bit. The scoring was medium to high all day long with cashing numbers normally averaging around +80.
