Our event this weekend was at AMF McRay lanes and had a pretty good turnout for our two-squad event considering that there were so many other tournaments going on this weekend.  We would see 124 total entries (84 qualifying and 40 economy parlays) with 32 total cashers, a 1 in 3.7 cash ratio and paid out over $7,900.00 in main and side event prize funds. The players bowled on the very tough 41ft 2021 USBC Nationals Team oil pattern.  This pattern played a bit tricky with bowlers being able to play a variety of angles.  It seemed that the bowlers who were able to repeat their shots and leave makeable spares would see the most success.  The cut for the day would be around +45-50 so bowlers needed to shoot about 5-10 pins over their average per game to advance.

Our event this weekend was at AMF Chandler Lanes and we would have another great turnout to kick off the 2022 Spring Quarterly Circuit!  We would have 141 total entries (96 qualifying and 45 parlays), 36 prize winners, 1 in 3.91 cash ratio which would pay out over $9,500.00 in main and side event prize funds!  The players bowled on the very difficult Kegel 40ft Red Square oil pattern. This is Kegel’s version of the original U.S. Open pattern or the more commonly known PBA Bear oil pattern.  It is a very flat oil pattern that leaves practically no room for error and puts a premium on shot making and spare shooting. Since it’s not an extremely long or short oil pattern, players could play in many different places on the lane.  The key for the day was leaving makeable spares and picking them up.  The cut scores would hover around even so you would only need to bowl within few pins of your average to make the cut.

Our event this weekend was at AMF Mesa and wow…what a turnout.  We drew 140 total entries (98 qualifying and 42 economy parlays), had 36 cashers, a 1 in 3.88 cash ratio and paid out over $7,900.00 in main and side event prize funds. The players bowled on a 35ft Boardwalk oil pattern that played a bit harder than usual at this center.  Usually, this pattern can tend to be somewhat high scoring because it allows some miss room to the right if the bowler is able to get far enough to the right. Well, that did exist on some of the pairs, but other pairs didn’t have the same look.  In the first squad we would only see one bowler shooting a 200 game, which would tell you how the day would go.  The scores on the fresh pattern were low and would remain the same in the following squad.  The key today was to try to bowl your average as we would see negative cut scores in all three Divisions to advance to the quarterfinals.

Our event this weekend was at Bowlero Mesa and we would see another huge turnout.  When I mean huge, it was like bowling on Monday of one of our Major tournaments.  We had 164 total entries (119 qualifying and 45 economy parlays) with 41 cashers, a 1 in 3.97 cash ratio and we would pay out over $10,000.00 in main and side event prize funds.  Our first squad of the day had a 67 bowlers, which was amazing to see!  The players bowled on the 42ft WTBA Tokyo oil pattern that played pretty tricky for most of the day.  There were some higher scores but for most of the day bowlers were able to play a variety of angles on the pattern.  The cut scores stayed around +60 for most of the day, which meant that you had to bowl about 10-15 pins over your average per game to qualify.
