Brunswick Via Linda

Brunswick Via Linda - 3/19/17

This weekend’s event was at Brunswick Via Linda lanes where we had 83 total entries (59 qualifying and 24 economy parlay), 23 cashers a 1 in 3.3 cash ratio and paid out over $4,000.00 in main and side event prize fund. The bowlers bowled on the 39ft PBA Viper oil pattern that was very difficult on the fresh, but seemed to breakdown and allow for some higher scoring. Over the years, it has also appeared that the lefties do fairly well in this particular bowling center.

As always we like to welcome the bowlers who bowled their first event with us this weekend. For the first time in a long time, we only had one new bowler! Rick Measels, welcome to the SFT AHT family! Hope to see you again buddy!

Our event this Sunday was at Brunswick Via Linda lanes on the 40ft Earl Anthony oil pattern. The pattern had higher scoring then most of other events this year with the average cut score for the event being around +70 which means players had to bowl around 10-15 pins over average per game. The players a variety of shots, but it appeared those that could play around the 2nd/3rd arrow with a little belly had the best ball reaction. The turn out was another good one with 73 entries (44 qualifying and 29 economy parlay), 22 cashers, a 1 in 3.1 cash ratio and paid out nearly $3,000.00 in main and side event prizes.

Our event this Sunday was at Brunswick Via Linda lanes and was bowled on the 36ft Phase 1 oil pattern. It was a great day for bowling with the rain, and the turn out showed it. There was 59 total entries (45 qualifying entries & 14 economy parlay entries), 16 cashers a 1 in 4.3 cash ratio and paid out over $3,000.00. The players played the Phase 1 oil pattern in a variety of ways. Phase 1 has always played a little different then the other short patterns that we bowl on. No matter which center we have used this pattern at, the middle of the lane has been more playable then other short patterns like cheetah, boardwalk, or wolf.

We had our very first minor event on a Saturday at Brunswick Via Linda lanes. It was surprisingly a great turnout! We expected a lot of people to be working and/or have other obligations, but the turnout was still pretty good. The event drew 61 entries (40 qualifying entries & 21 economy parlay), had 13 cashers, a 1 in 4.6 cash ratio and paid out nearly $3,000.00 in main and side event prize fund! We are super excited to be able to generate these kinds of turn outs and pay outs on a weekly basis whether the event is on Saturday or Sunday. This event had a lot of other first also….

The event this weekend was another great one! We had 126 entries, 33 cashers, a 1 in 3.8 cash ratio and paid out over $6,000.00 in main and side event prizefunds. The players bowled on a very demanding 39ft Viper oil pattern that played a bit longer than 39ft due to the amount of volume of oil that was used. This was the first time that we have used the new version of the Viper pattern that was created for the world series of bowling. The pattern allowed for a variety of styles to compete. There was an out of bounds if you were further left, but for the straighter players there was just enough hook to play straight if you wanted to.
