Shake Rattle & Bowl

We had our annual event in Camp Verde, AZ this weekend. It’s always a great time at Cliff Castle Casino and Shake, Rattle and Bowl. Saturday’s event was the real exciting surprise. We always have a fun event on Saturdays of the out of town events to allow the locals to get a feel for the tournament and the lane conditions. Well the northern bowling community came out strong with nearly 20 new bowlers who have never bowled a SFT AHT event before! We saw new bowlers take home both the tournament win and the mixed bounty title. Congrats to Terry Herb & Joe Wolf on the tournament win and Terry Herb and Jasmine Martinez on the mixed bounty title. Our events at Cliff Castle Casino were a bunch of fun as expected! The main event drew 44 entries, had 12 cashers had a 1 in 3.6 cash ratio and paid out over $2,000.00 in main and side event prize fund. Our criss cross doubles event drew 13 teams which was smaller than usual, but was expected due to conflicting with the Manny/Mayweather fight. We want to thank all of our great members that made the drive to support the event and we look forward to our next out of town event.

Well our first weekend out of town for a series of events was a huge success! We kicked off our weekend with a fun 3-game sweeper event on Friday night. This event drew 24 entries, paid out over $500.00 and was won by Ron Gonzales. Our other fun event was Saturday night and was a very fun criss cross doubles format. This event drew 52 total teams, paid out over $1,700.00 and was won by Josh Anthony and Billy Chester. This led us to our main event which had 87 entries, 24 cashers, a 1 in 3.6 cash ratio and paid out over $3,500.00 in the main event. The weekend as a whole drew 50 members, and paid out over $6,000!! I want to thank all of the SFT members for making yet another successful weekend so much fun!
