AMF Christown Results - 3/30/14

Well we have started off our 2014 season with some exciting new rule changes and it has gotten us 5 out of 5 2014 standard events with over 110 entries! AMF Christown had 114 entries, 31 cashers, a 1 in 3.67 cash ratio, and paid out nearly $5,000.00 in main and side event prizes. The players had a rude awakening on a 41ft Turn Pike pattern that isn't quite US Open but is pretty darn close with a 2.2 to 1 ratio. This means that the board with the most amount of oil on it has 2.2 times the amount of oil on it as the board with the least amount of oil. The common "house shot" used in leagues are anywhere from 7 to 1 all the way up to 13 to 1. The pattern this weekend was very difficult, and the scores reflected it.

If you are looking for a short results summary, this won’t be the one you’re looking for. WOW! What a weekend of bowling, fun, and exciting competition. The Memorial Day Championship had 203 entries, 48 cashers, a 1 in 4.2 cash ratio, and the side events and main tournament together paid out over $11,000.00!!! This was our largest SFT AHT event ever in every category. It was less than 14 months ago that the SFT AHT had its first tournament. Every member out there should know that you all played a very intricate and significant role in the SFT AHT’s rapid growth. We always talk about the SFT AHT family, and I believe that having an event with over 200 entries within 14 months of starting shows just how powerful a family or group of people can be when working together.

AMF Christown Results - 01/01/2013

Wow! The 4 day tourna-palooza was absolutely incredible. We had 99 teams on Saturday, 24 members at the PMI on Sunday, 30 members at the banquet Sunday night, and 71 more entries on Monday and Tuesday for the 2013 season opener and we paid out over $7,000.00 in 4 days’ worth of bowling. The director is tired! However, there were a lot of memories and good times had in this epic 4 day stretch. We got to watch Bo Copeland and Tim Bryden win the Criss Cross doubles (Results - Click Here), David Kurlan take home the PMI title (Results - Click Here) , and Lynn Arthur accept his 2012 Player of the Year award (Summary & Pics - Click Here) at the banquet.

2012 Banquet - 12/30/2012

Well the 2012 banquet was another fun and successful event. Not to mention a great way to cap off the season. We had a little over 30 members attend the banquet, socialize and have a good time while watching the year end presentation. AMF Christown Results - 12/30/2012

This was our first every invitational and boy was it a good one. The bowlers bowled a 1 game bracket match play format all the way until a champion was determined. It is double elimination so each player can lose twice before they are out. If you want more info on how this tournament works and how each person was invited you can click here. The players bowled on a 44ft modified house pattern that was pretty difficult. The scores all day were fairly low. The players that could stay out of trouble by making their spares normally faired the best.
