2025 Season Preview Event

Our final event of 2024 brought us to Bowlero Gilbert for a non-points tournament designed to test the new technology systems and rule changes we’re implementing for the 2025 season. With 66 entries (53 qualifying and 13 Economy Parlay), the event paid out a total of $3,160 in prizes with a 1 in 3.14 cash ratio. This special event did not impact season points or averages, giving participants a low-pressure environment to compete and enjoy.

Oil Pattern

Competitors faced the challenging 40-foot Kegel Sphinx oil pattern. Scores were notably low in the early rounds due to the difficulty of the pattern, but as more games were bowled, the pattern opened up, rewarding accurate execution. Players who advanced to the quarterfinals adapted well and took advantage of the more playable conditions.

Tournament Highlights

Bowlero Gilbert - 12/1/2024

We would wrap up the 2024 season and the Fall Quarterly Circuit with a 2-Squad tournament at Bowlero Gilbert We would see 91 total entries (68 qualifying & 23 parlays), with a cash ratio of 1 in 3.25, paying out over $6,200 in main and side event prize funds. The bowlers played on a higher scoring 41ft PBA Bear oil pattern. We would see scores increase throughout the day as the oil pattern broke down. Since this was a flatter pattern, bowlers were able to play a variety of angles to get to the pocket.  Bowlers would need to get to around +60 to advance to the Quarterfinals.

Bowlero Gilbert - 9/29/2024

Our event this weekend was a 2-squad tournament at Bowlero Gilbert! This would be the last event of the 2024 Summer Quarterly Circuit (July – September). We would have a good turnout considering all the other events going on in the Valley this past weekend.  We had 73 total entries (58 qualifying and 15 economy parlays), with 24 cashers a 1 in 3.05 cash ratio and a pay out of over $4,400.00 in main and side event prizes! The players bowled on the 2024 PBA Badger, which is 47ft and one of the PBA’s longest oil pattern, and it proved to be a bit difficult.  The cut scores were pretty low for the first squad being around +20, which means the players just needed to bowl their average for series to advance. The pattern did allow for players to play a variety of angles though you couldn’t get too far outside or else your ball would not come back. The key for today was to leave something makeable and to pick up your spares.
