Mesa East Bowl

Mesa East Bowl - 12/12/20

This weekend was our very final event of the 2020 season.  We had our Match Play Invitational at Mesa East Bowl.  The top 24 bowlers in total season points, except the Player of the Year, 2nd and 3rd place bowlers were invited to bowl this event.  These bowlers were all trying to win an event exemption for the upcoming 2021 season.  The winner of this event would win 2 exemptions and 2nd place would get 1 exemption for the upcoming season.

Mesa East Bowl - 11/29/20

This weekend’s event was at Mesa East Bowl and we had a huge turnout for our 2-squad event.  We had 59 bowlers just on the first squad alone.  In total we had 105 total entries (66 qualifying and 39 economy parlay), 32 cashers a 1 in 3.3 cash ratio and paid out over $7,000.00 in main and side event prize fund. The bowlers bowled on the 36ft PBA Viper oil pattern that was very difficult on the fresh, but seemed to breakdown a bit and allow for some higher scoring as the day went on. The cut for today stayed around +20 with bowlers just needing to hit their average to make the cut to the quarterfinals.

Mesa East Bowl - 2/9/20

After a nice two week break our event this weekend was at Mesa East Bowl.  It was a two-squad standard and sometimes that means less entries since there aren’t as many squads. Well it was jam packed with almost 50 bowlers per squad!  We had great turnout for our first 2 squad event of the year with a total of 101 entries (57 qualifying and 44 economy parlay), 26 total cashers, and a 1 in 3.9 cash ratio and paid out over $4,200.00 in main and side event prize funds.  The players bowled on a very tough 42ft Kegel Autobahn oil pattern that had low cut scores to begin with, but once the pattern broke down scores went up.  Most divisions took in the +60 range to advance.  The medium length pattern allowed players to play a variety of angles including down and in and deep inside angles, but if you got it a little too far outside, then your ball wouldn’t come back or would leave a washout.

Mesa East - 3/10/18

Our event this weekend at Mesa East Bowl was a two-squad standard, and sometimes that means less entries since there aren’t as many squads. Well it was jam packed with almost 50 bowlers per squad! We had a total of 96 entries (63 Qualifying & 33 Economy Parlay), 27 cashers, with a 1 in 3.6 cash ratio and paid out over $4,750.00 in main and side event prize fund.  The players bowled on a very tough 38ft Kegel Alcatraz oil pattern that had low cut scores for the day. Most divisions took in the +40 range to advance, which means that they only had to bowl 10-20 pins over average for the entire series, which is bowling a small amount over your average each game. The medium length pattern allowed players to play a variety of angles including down and in and deep inside angles, but if you got it a little too far outside, then your ball wouldn’t come back.
