AMF Tempe Village Results - 3/19/14

We had another great weekend of bowling at AMF Tempe Village this weekend. We got to experience the same great results that are making us so excited about the 2014 season. Another huge turn out, more new bowlers and fresh faces making the final match. I told this story often this weekend, and I have to tell it again. Our first ever SFT AHT event was at this same center nearly 2 years ago. We had a total of 60 entries for the entire event that weekend. Nearly two years later we had 143 entries, 35 cashers, a 1 in 4 cash ratio and paid out over $5,000.00! Through 4 events this season we are averaging over 130 entries per event! It wasn't long ago that that kind of turn out would be a record high! I can't thank the members enough for coming up with some great rule changes for this season, supporting the event no matter where we are at, and spreading the word for each and every event. You guys and gals are incredible! Now let's get to this event's results.

Well this was the last event of our winter circuit. The circuits are quarterly payouts based on the season points, however at the end of each circuit there is a payout and then the next circuit begins. This means that players that just start bowling the club mid-way through a season still have a chance at winning circuit prizes even though they can’t bowl all of the events to battle for player of the year. If you would like more info on the circuits you can go to our point’s page located by clicking here. We will be featuring a full results summary and write up for the winter circuit later this week, so keep checking back for the full results on the winter circuit.

Well it was less than 9 months ago when we had our first event at AMF Tempe Village lanes. We had a little over 60 entries and it was a great start for a club under new ownership. We decide to end our 2012 season in the same place we started it and the SFT AHT family made it a very memorable one. The event this weekend drew 104 total main event entries, had 29 cashers, a 1 in 3.6 cash ratio and paid out nearly $4,000! Our side events drew another 45 entries in the sweeper and when combined with brackets, and high game pots paid out another $1,038.00! Needless to say, it was a very epic way to conclude our 2012 season and our last 2012 standard event. I know I say it a lot, but it can’t be said enough, I have to thank the SFT AHT community on how hard they have supported and spread the word to make this year what it was. I would like to thank you all one more time!

Greetings Strike Force Family! Our last event was at AMF Tempe Village lanes on March 24th and March 25th. There were a lot of great experiences to cap off our first event. Joan Elam, in the “B” division, bowled her first 200 game of the year while bowling +131 over to lead her division. Clay Fritz and Kris Maglunog had chances at a perfect 300 game but fell short. Some long standing Strike Force family members like Oscar Garcia, Jerry Graber, Ben Dewberry, Bill Held, Steve Hamlett, Brian Roever, Brandon Gilbert, and Bo Copeland came out to show their support. We had new members, Tina Niles, Hokey Begay, Daniel Scott, and Ron Gonzales cashing in their first SFT tournament. To top it all off, long time SFT family member Lynn Arthur took home the first place prize and did it in fashion by bowling a nice 293 game.
