Bowlero Kyrene

Location:

Our event this weekend was at Bowlero Kyrene and we had a larger turnout. We had a total of 86 entries (65 qualifying and 21 economy parlays) with 22 prize winners and a 1 in 3.91 cash ratio, paying out $3,630 in prize funds. The players bowled on the 44 ft London that provided a higher scoring pace throughout the event.

Zach Van Dusen hit the Momma’s Mystery Score with a score 0f 194 for $500!! Your winner of the drawing for the free plastic ball, with the option to upgrade to any high-performance Track ball for $99.00, was Kevin Dillingham!

There were 19 competitors who made it to the cashers round. Coming out of the A Division was Zach Van Dusen (+110) and Bryton Bobbit (+98). Their match would come down to the 10th frame, with Zach needing a double to be Bryton. Unfortunately, Zach did not get the double and Bryton would win the match, 235-224. The B Division would see Arthur Lara (+104) vs. Bobby Steele (+53). Their match would be more of a  blowout, with Arthur being victorious, 226-174. The C Division would see Cameron Downing (+67) moving on straight to the finals (since there were only 5 cashers in C).

The finals would be a tight race to the finish line, with all the bowlers having a chance coming down the stretch. Cameron would finish first and have a costly open in the 10th that would end his chances at his first title. Bryton stepped up and filled his 10th frame to put all the pressure onto Arthur. Arthur would need 20 pins (or more) to win the title. Arthur stepped up, left a 2-5, and picked it up. That meant that the final shot would be the biggest shot of the tournament, needing a strike for the win. A 9-count would be a tie situation and anything less would mean a win for Bryton. Arthur stepped up and aced the shot for a clutch strike and was able to sneak away with the win along with the top prize of $960. Final scores were 201 (Lara) - 200 (Bobbit) - 188 (Downing).
