AMF Deer Valley Results - 8/2/15

Our event this Sunday was at AMF Deer Valley lanes on the 39ft Winding Road oil pattern. The pattern may have been winding but it seemed to wind right into the pocket! We saw some of the highest scores we have ever seen! The players were able to play it almost like a house shot. They had free hook to the outside and a little bit of hold in the middle of the lane. It appeared that the most dangerous players were those that had slow ball speeds in the C division. Those players that were comfortable hooking it a little more had great ball reaction and some pins to make them tough to beat. However, once match play comes, you never know if those lower averaged bowlers will be able to keep their composure. The event had 58 total entries (40 qualifying & 18 economy parlay), 15 cashers and a 1 in 3.8 cash ratio.

AMF Christown Results - 7/26/15

Our event was at AMF Christown this Sunday, and we had a great time as usual. It was  a standard event which means that it was guranteed $1,000.00 for first place regardless of entries as long as you are in the progressive pot. These events always have a certain level of hype behind them, and people are excited to bowl for that kind of money. The event drew 70 entries (48 qualifying entries and 22 economy parlay entries), had 18 cashers, a 1 in 3.7 cash ratio and paid out over $3,000.00 in main and side event prizes! The players bowled on a 41ft Turnpike oil pattern that proved to play a little difficult for most people. The average cut score didn't even require players to bowl over their average.

AMF McRay Results - 7/19/15

We had an awesome event today at AMF McRay Plaza lanes. The event drew 78 total entries (49 qualifying entries & 29 economy parlay entries), had 20 cashers, a 1 in 3.7 cash ratio and paid out over $3,000.00 in main and side event prizefund. The players bowled on the 43ft Dead Man's Curve oil pattern which proved to pay easier at times and harder at times. We had a very nice 300 game from Ron Schloss during our 10am squad that made it appear that the lanes weren't too tough but then our cut scores didn't really get too high, which most players being around +100 or lower. It was very clear however, that players that threw the ball alittle slower or liked to play in the middle of the lane a little bit had more success on this pattern.

Let It Roll Results - 7/5/15

Althogh, a lot of bowlers were in Las Vegas for the TAT, we still wanted to have an event for our bowlers that weren't able to make it up to the TAT. The event had a light turn out, but that didn't stop us from having a good time! The players bowled on the 39ft Middle of the Road oil pattern which had pretty low scores. It seems that no matter what pattern we put down at Let It Roll, the scores are fairly low. It is a tough center in general, which normally brings out the best in players.

We had Jakob Butturff win Momma's mystery score for $500, which was very exciting! We also had quite a few new players come out to bowl! We want to welcome Patrick Simonis, Scott Cronquer, Grant Dickerson, and Craig Heyer to the SFT AHT family. We look forward to seeing you all again at your next SFT AHT event! We hope you all had a good time and we thank you for coming out to give the events a try.

Brunswick Mesa - 6/14/15

This event was our very first one day standard event. It was very exciting to see how it would go, and it was a big success with the event drawing 91 entries (68 qualifying entries & 23 economy parlay entries), 20 cashers, a 1 in 4.5 cash ratio and paid out over $4,000.00 in main and side event prizefunds in only 3 squads of bowling! Those are some pretty impressive stats for a tournament in the middle of the summer! I hate to continue to brag about our members, but this was yet another change they initiated at our mid-season meeting that seems to be a hit so far! Thanks again to everyone that shows up to the meeting and helps this club continue to improve!

AMF McRay Results - 6/7/15

Our event at AMF McRay lanes drew 60 entries, had 16 cashers, a 1 in 3.75 cash ratio and paid out over $3,000.00 in main and side event prizes. The players bowled on the 40ft Kegel Highway To Hell pattern that proved to be very difficult. It created some of the lowest scoring that we have seen in quite a long time. There were many players that didn’t think they made the cut, and made the cut easily because the scores were so low. Most of the cut scores throughout the tournament had players bowling below average and making the cut still. The average cut score was around +60 for all of the divisions and the quarter finals. One thing was for sure, the players that had an advantage were those that were good spare shooters. They were able to minimize the difficulty of striking.

AMF Christown Results - 5/31/15

Our event this weekend was at AMF Christown lanes and we had yet again another new winner! The players bowled on the 45ft Route 66 oil pattern, which yielded much lower scores than expected. Many of the players that had success were actually bowling below average, but were still doing better than the other competitors.

We also want to welcome Alexendria Dixson who bowled in her first event this weekend! Also congrats to Joe Mascio who was the only player that was a parlay power player and turned $25 into a quarter finals check.

Our semi-final matches were all fairly close with #1 seed James Senatore defeating #2 seed Ray Besignano 234 to 221 with both of them bowling in their first ever SFT AHT semi-final match. In the B division, #1 seed Ben Spencer was defeated by #2 seed Ron Gonzales 238 to 210. In the C division, # 1 seed Zac Bryan dominated throughout and continued his reign defeating Brian Cail 242 to 220.

AMF Deer Valley Results - 5/25/15

The majors are always exciting! Our biggest payouts, turnouts and most anticipated events of the entire season. We currently have two majors each year, one on Memorial Day and one on Labor Day. This event was an awesome one! We had 168 entries (126 qualifying entries & 42 economy parlay entries), 44 cashers, a 1 in 3.8 cash ratio and paid out over $10,000.00 in main and side event prizefund. The pattern we used was the 42ft Stars and Stripes oil pattern that we designed specifically for this event. The pattern proved to be one of the higher scoring patterns we have ever used for any of our major events. The cut scores all weekend were typically around +110 to +130. Since the handicap system is based on 90% of 225, this means most people making the cut were bowling about 20 pins over average per game. It definitely appeared that the players that were comfortable hooking it a little bit more matched up a little bit better this weekend.

Via Linda Results - 5/9/15

We had our very first minor event on a Saturday at Brunswick Via Linda lanes. It was surprisingly a great turnout! We expected a lot of people to be working and/or have other obligations, but the turnout was still pretty good. The event drew 61 entries (40 qualifying entries & 21 economy parlay), had 13 cashers, a 1 in 4.6 cash ratio and paid out nearly $3,000.00 in main and side event prize fund! We are super excited to be able to generate these kinds of turn outs and pay outs on a weekly basis whether the event is on Saturday or Sunday. This event had a lot of other first also….

Camp Verde Results - 5/3/15

Our events at Cliff Castle Casino were a bunch of fun as expected! The main event drew 44 entries, had 12 cashers had a 1 in 3.6 cash ratio and paid out over $2,000.00 in main and side event prize fund. Our criss cross doubles event drew 13 teams which was smaller than usual, but was expected due to conflicting with the Manny/Mayweather fight. We want to thank all of our great members that made the drive to support the event and we look forward to our next out of town event.
