Our event this weekend was at Let It Roll and we had a lighter turnout. We had 80 total entries (58 qualifying and 22 economy parlays) with 22 prize winners and a 1 in 3.64 cash ratio, paying out $3,184.50 in prize funds. The players bowled on the very difficult 41ft 2025 U.S. Open Pattern #4 oil pattern that provided a very low scoring pace throughout the event. If you were plus at all today, you were stoked.
No one hit the Momma’s Mystery Score today so that money will rollover to next Sunday’s Event at AMF Chandler. Your winner of the drawing for the free plastic ball, with the option to upgrade to any high-performance Track ball for $99.00, was Micah Coleman!
There were 22 competitors who made it to the cashers round. The A Division would see Jeff Bandes (+60) emerge as the #1 seed and his opponent would be Michael Arce (+43). The B Division would have Alex Olson (+32) as the #1 seed, and he would take on Bobby Steele (+26). The C Division would see Michael Kareti (+83) moving on straight to the finals since there were only 4 bowlers in the cashier round. Luckily for Michael, that would mean an automatic spot into the finals.
The A Division match was a grind of match with no real person taking full control over the match. Jeff marked in the tenth frame, forcing Michael to double. Michael would step up and ace the first shot in the tenth only to wrap a vicious 10-pin. Jeff would move on to the finals, winning over Michael, 197-187. The B Division match would be a back and forth match but ultimately, Bobby would win due to a missed spare in the tenth by Alex.
Going into the Finals, everyone would be looking for their first AHT SFT title and along with the $810 first place prize.
The finals would start off with Michael struggling to stay clean while both Jeff and Bobby would be grinding and avoiding any big errors. Going into the ladder part of the match, it would remain close between Jeff and Bobby, with Jeff having a sizable lead. Bobby would strike in the 8th and 9th, which would put the pressure on Jeff. Jeff went up and got a spare, giving Bobby the opportunity to strike and get a good count to win his first title. Bobby stepped up and struck and got 7, which would be enough to claim his first Strikeforce Title along with the $810 first place prize. Final scores were 233 (Bobby) - 221 (Bandes) - 164 (Michael).
