Let It Roll

Location:

Our event this weekend was at Let It Roll and we had a larger turnout. We had a total of 79 entries (69 qualifying and 10 economy parlays) with 22 prize winners and a 1 in 3.59 cash ratio, paying out $3,980 in prize funds. The players bowled on the 40 ft Red Square (essentially a US Open type shot) that provided a low scoring pace throughout the event.

No one hit the Momma’s Mystery Pot this week, so that money will move on to our next event at AMF McRay!! Your winner of the drawing for the free plastic ball, with the option to upgrade to any high-performance Track ball for $99.00, was Kevin Duong!

There were 20 competitors who made it to the cashers round. Coming out of the A Division were Charles Halse (+18) and Brandon Loss (-1). Charles would bowl a clean game, which seemed impossible all day, and win the match over Brandon, 222-179. The B Division would see Romeo Fermil (+72) vs. Jericho Gaydos (+40). Their match would be a thriller, with Justin being victorious, 197-191. The C Division would see Ashley Perez (+42) vs. Seth Krich (+42). Their match would see Seth make a late comeback and win the match over Ashley, 235-200.

Going into the Finals, Charles would be looking for his third title, and Jericho and Seth would be looking for their first titles.

The finals would favor Charles for the majority of the match, however a late split in the tenth frame raised some eyebrows. Seth would fall behind early and would stay there the most of the match. This would be the opportunity Jericho needed to get back in the match, however, it would be too big of a difference for him to make up, allowing Charles to claim his 3rd title along with the $1,060 top prize. Final scores were 217 (Halse) - 209 (Gaydos) - 178 (Krich).

Thank you to everyone that came out this weekend to bowl our tournament. We can’t run tournaments like these without you guys! Thanks to Stacy and the entire staff at Bowlero Kyrene for having us out this weekend. We are looking to hire a couple more check-in people to help run these tournaments. If you are interested in helping out with future events, please click here to apply! As always, if you have any feedback, please let us know how we can further accommodate bowlers and improve our tournaments. We’ll be back in two weeks at AMF McRay for another event. See ya there!
