We had a fun little sweeper event this weekend at Glenfair Lanes. The players bowled on a 38ft Alacatraz oil pattern that seemed to offer medium to low scores early and higher scores later in the day. We did have a variety of styles do well though with some straighter players and higher rev players finishing in the top 5. The event had a total of 42 entries, 10 cashers and paid out over $1,000.00 in main and side event prize fund.
After the first squad the leader was James Roethle at +67 and the projected low to cash was a bit below that at +61. The second squad was our largest squad of the day and increased the number of cashers to 7 and lowered the projected low to cash to +51, but the new leader was Paul Williams at +87. The third squad had some players jump off to some big games with Brooke Carroll, Mike Fitzgerald, and Ron Gonzales bowling good scores the first two games.
When it was all said and done the tournament winner was Mike Fitzgerald at 718 and the low to cash was +55. Thanks to everyone that came out for the event. We hope you all have a great father's day and look forward to seeing everyone at our next event, next Sunday, at Brunswick Desert Sky lanes.
