Bowlero Via Linda - 1/25/26

Our event this weekend was at Bowlero Via Linda and we had a decent turnout. We had a total of 53 entries (38 qualifying and 15 economy parlays) with 16 prize winners and a 3.31:1 cash ratio, paying out $2,290 in prize funds. The players bowled on the 41 ft Turnpike oil pattern that provided a medium to low scoring pace throughout the event, but the few who found something were able to have some score.

Nobody hit the Momma’s Mystery Score so that money will continue to rollover to our next event at Bowlero Union Hills! Your winner of the drawing for the free plastic ball, with the option to upgrade to any high-performance Track ball for $99.00, was Jim Alme!

There were 10 competitors who made it to the cashers round, plus one exemption used by Chase Rohlik. Coming out of the A Division would be Ernie Mendoza (+41), moving on directly to the finals. The B Division would see Arthur Lara (+166) vs. Quinten Fincham (+39) and Arthur would continue his hot streak from the casher’s round and win over Quinten, 219-194. Coming out of the C Division would be David Beasley (+4) and he would move on straight to the finals.

We would have a mix of bowlers in the finals, with Ernie looking for his 5th title, Arthur looking for his 2nd title, and David a first time finalist, looking for his 1st title. The finals would start off tight with no one really pulling ahead. Halfway through the match, Arthur would start to string a couple strikes together and take about a 30 pin advantage. Late in the game, Arthur would split, leaving the door open for Ernie and David to climb back in. Unfortunately, Ernie would give it right back to Arthur as he would miss two single pins in the last half of the game and David couldn’t quite get the strikes to connect, which would be enough to secure Arthur the win and his 2nd title, along with the $745 top prize! The final scores were 220 (Lara) - 194 (Mendoza) - 191 (Beasley).

Thank you to everyone that came out this weekend to bowl our tournament. We can’t run tournaments like these without you guys! Thanks to Jacob, Rachel, and the entire staff at Bowlero Via Linda for having us out this weekend. As always, if you have any feedback, please let us know how we can further accommodate bowlers and improve our tournaments. We’ll be back in three weeks at Bowlero Union Hills for another standard 2-squad event. Hope to see ya there!
