AMF Chandler - 4/13/25

Location:

Our event this weekend was at AMF Chandler and we had a lighter turnout. We had a total entries (59 qualifying and 13 economy parlays) with 20 prize winners and a 1 in 2.95 cash ratio, paying out $2670 in prize funds. The players bowled on the 2022 World Games oil pattern that provided a medium to higher scoring pace throughout the event.

No one hit the Momma’s Mystery Score today so that money will rollover to the next event at AMF Tempe Village. Your winner of the drawing for the free plastic ball, with the option to upgrade to any high-performance Track ball for $99.00, was James Strang!

There were 16 competitors who made it to the cashers round, plus Darwin Hicks (so 17 total) as he chose to use one of his earned exemptions. Since there was a lower turnout, we would see the top bowlers in both the A and B Divisions move right through to the final match. The C Division would see Steven Situ (+65) versus Jericho Gaydos (+58) and that would be a blowout match with Jericho winning 267-208.

Going into the Finals, Chase and Myles would be looking for their second AHT SFT title whereas this would be Jericho’s first time making the finals.

The finals would start off with Myles and Chase staying close, where Jericho would struggle to stay clean, falling behind early in the match. Chase would have a slight lead going into the latter part of the match. Jericho would find a way to sneak his way back in the match with a late double. Chase and Myles would both open late, giving Chase a slight lead going into the 10th frame. Chase stepped up and managed to fill the frame, securing his second title along with the $610 first place prize. Jericho was able to double in the 10th to also steal 2nd away from Myles. Final scores were 233 (Rohlik) - 208 (Gaydos) - 205 (Hamilton).
