AMF Desert Hills Results - 8/11/2013

Well we had an incredible weekend! We had the largest turn out we have ever had for a 6 squad tournament! In 6 squads of qualifying there were 111 entries, 29 prize winners, a 1 in 3.8 cash ratio, and over $5,824.00 paid out in main and side tournament prize fund! This was truly a great weekend for the club in a lot of ways. We got to see all of the great elements of the SFT AHT from beginning to end! I can’t way to tell you all what I am talking about!

First, as always, we have to talk about what the players bowled on this weekend. It was a 42ft modified house pattern that yielded pretty medium scoring pace. There were some straight players that did well and some players with bigger curves that did well. However, most players played the middle of the lane, as there was an out of bounds from 1st arrow to the gutter. The highest qualifying series for the entire event was only +103 and the cut scores averaged around +40 to +60.

Well we had a great turn out again at AMF Desert Hills with 70 entries, 22 cashers, 1 in 3 cash ratio, and almost $3,000.00 paid out in our main event. We had another 21 entries in our sweeper and when combined with high game pots, they paid out another $594.00. This event was bowled on a 42ft modified house shot that seemed to be very playable, but it wasn’t wide open. Both days had cuts of around 100 over with some scores that were REALLY HIGH. It was clear that there was some room to play with on the lanes for all styles, but you still had to execute to knock down all 10 pins. We even had someone who almost took advantage of the new Track incentive, of winning a Free Track ball by bowling an honor score. Ben Dewberry had the front 7 strikes with his 505A but a split later on cut him short of a free bowling ball!

We had another amazing turn out at AMF Desert Hills Lanes. There was a total of 96 entries which consisted of 71 qualifying entries, & 25 economy parlay entries. There were 20 bowlers that advanced to the quarter finals, which is a 1 in 3.55 cashing ratio!! Every tournament we are taking a lot of people to the finals and still paying out $1,000 for first! We couldn't do it with out all of the support from the Strike Force Tour family, so THANK YOU! The Divisional Insurance and Seniors/Women's Division really have become HUGE fan favorites. These tournament features are allowing more bowlers to make the cut at every tournament. There were some exciting things that happened this weekend. As much fun as all of the events are, this event is going to be hard to top. We had women bowlers dominate the prizes, old Strike Force Tour family members re-united, dramatic 9th & 10th frame roll off, an all lefty finals and so much more.
