AMF McRay Results - 1/25/2015

Well, there were a lot of other tournaments going on today, plus the pro bowl. We really weren't expecting another great turn to our 3rd straight minor event. As always, the SFT AHT family surprised me! The event drew 73 total entries which consisted of 45 qualifying entries and 28 economy parlay entries. It had 18 cashers, a 1 in 3.8 cash ratio and paid out over $3,300.00 in main and side event prizes. It is clear that the members are really enjoying bowling every weekend. There were some concerns that it may be tough for some people to afford to bowl every weekend and if people would get burnt out on it. This was our 4th event in 4 weeks and our 3rd straight minor. Each event has new bowlers that didn’t bowl in the last event and there are some members that just can’t get enough to bowl. So far the changes and additions for the 2015 season look very promising and we are excited to see if they continue to have successful results.

Glenfair Lanes Results - 1/18/15

We had another great weekend with a minor event at Glenfair lanes. The event drew 71 total entries with 42 qualifying entries and 29 economy parlay entries. We also had 20 cashers, a 1 in 3.5 cash ratio and a total payout of of over $5,000 in main and side event payouts.  We had another great turn out and positive response for our minor event format. We had more good signs regarding some of the changes that the members made to start this season. The divisions, once again, had a very balanced number of entries.  Also, some of the top amateurs came out again to compete in the A division. While, the newly eligible haven’t had any success yet, they very well could have in this event. One of the bowlers had a pain staking low game 3, and the other was not in the divisional insurance or they would have advanced.

AMF Deer Valley Results - 1/11/15

This weekend’s event at AMF Deer Valley was our very first Minor ever. We were excited to add this new format to our schedule in 2015 to create a lot more tournaments for the club members to bowl. The minors are one day events with only 3 squads that still have great payouts and all of the same features and formats that you have come to love! For our first ever one day event, it was a huge success! We had 73 total entries with 47 qualifying entries and 26 economy parlay entries. While we guaranteed 1st - $600, 2nd - $300 and 3rd - $200 regardless of entries, we still encouraged a strong turnout for the potential of an increased payout from the advertised guarantees.  Sure enough, the turnout was fantastic and we were able to increase the payouts for 2nd and 3rd $100 each! After one minor event we are excited about having more of these events coming up, including next Sunday, January 18th at Glenfair Lanes!

Brunswick Mesa Results - 1/4/15

Well, every time we start a new season, it is always exciting. It is exciting to see if the clubs changes and additions from the previous season’s meeting make a difference. The main goal of our meeting in 2014 was to try to grow our A division in 2015. We wanted to get some new bowlers that weren’t eligible before and also restructure the division so that the A division and B division were closer in total entries.

Let It Roll Bowl Results- 11/30/14

Our Thanksgiving Day weekend event at Let It Roll Bowl was another fun holiday weekend with the SFT AHT family. The event drew 84 entries, 26 cashers, a 1 in 3.2 cash ratio and paid out over $4,000.00 in main and side event prizes. Although the event brought our 100 entry streak to an end, it was still a streak to celebrate. It wasn’t very long ago that we had our very first event with 100 entries. As a club, we are incredibly grateful that nearly every single event this year has drawn over 100 entries. Our growth is due to our incredible members who support us everywhere and keep bringing out their friends.

AMF Chandler Results - 11/9/14

We had another fun event this weekend at AMF Chandler Lanes! The event drew 110 entries, 30 cashers, a 1 in 3.6 cash ratio and paid out over $4,000.00 in main and side event prizes! The bowlers bowled on a 38ft custom pattern that we designed for this event. It gave the players something a little different to bowl on then what they have had in the past. It was higher scoring, a little easier with more free hook than usual, but transistioned quite a bit. The scores the first two squads were very up and down. However, both days the scores really went through the roof on the final squad. It seems like, on this squad, the oil settled down a little bit and offered the most consistent scoring conditons. We had some of the highest cut scores this weekend that we have ever had with the average cut being over +110!

Brunswick Mesa Results - 10/26/14

We had another fun weekend bowling for some big bucks and hanging out with all of the SFT AHT family members. We had 115 entries for the weekend, which kept our 100 entry streak alive. The event also had 32 cashers, a 1 in 3.6 cash ratio and paid out over $5,000.00 in main and side event prize funds. The players bowled on a very demanding 39ft Viper oil pattern. The scoring was very low again this weekend with most of the cut scores forcing the players to bowl average or slightly above average. The pattern did allow for many angles of attack, which had players of all styles having success. No matter the style, most players did say that the pair to pair differences were much tougher this weekend.

Glenfair Lanes Results - 10/12/14

We had a great weekend at Glenfair lanes to start off the 4th and final quarterly circuit. The event drew 116 entries, had 30 cashers, a 1 in 3.8 cash ratio and paid out nearly $4,500.00 in main and side event prize fund. We are starting to see a huge increase in Economy Parlay entries every weekend. We will see if the trend continues but it seems that people are really starting to see the value in the side event and the potential of turning $25 into a $1,000.00. This weekend nearly half of the 116 entries were Economy Parlay entries. That is an outstanding number and we are glad that the new feature that didn’t exist in the previous SFT charter is starting to catch on.
