Bowlero Glendale - 5/31/21

This weekend’s event was our 3-Day Memorial Day Major at Bowlero Glendale.  This is the first time that we have been to this center and we would see 284 total entries with 195 qualifying and 89 parlay entries this weekend.  It was good to see everyone come out to compete and have a good time.  We can’t thank the bowling community enough for all of the help in making this such a successful event.  We would draw entries from all over the Valley and state with some bowlers that even came down from Utah to bowl our event.

AMF Tempe Village - 5/16/21

This weekend’s event was at AMF Tempe Village and we had a good turnout for our 3-squad event.  We had 100 total entries (70 qualifying and 30 economy parlay), 28 cashers a 1 in 3.6 cash ratio and paid out over $7,000.00 in main and side event prize funds. The bowlers bowled on the 36ft PBA Viper oil pattern that was very difficult on the fresh, but seemed to breakdown and allow for some higher scoring as the day went on. The cut went up as the day went on and bowlers would need to get to around +60 in order to advance to the quarterfinals.

Bowlero Mesa - 5/2/2021

This weekend’s event was at Bowlero Mesa and we had another great turnout!  We would see a record 72 bowlers on our very first squad and we would see 154 total entries (95 qualifying and 59 economy parlays), had 40 prize winners, a 1 in 3.82 cash ratio and paid out over $7,650.00 in main and side event prize funds.  The players bowled on a very tough 41ft Kegel Arsenic oil pattern that seemed to get harder as the day went on.  The key to this pattern was to leave makeable spares and try not to split or miss any spares.  Those that were able to pick up their spares and get near their average were able to advance to the quarterfinals.

AMF McRay - 4/18/21

Our event this weekend was at AMF McRay and wow what an unbelievable turnout.  We drew a record breaking 143 total entries (94 qualifying and 49 economy parlay) for only 2 squads.  If you think about it, that was almost the same amount of entries that we had for our last 3 squad event at Bowlero Kyrene a few weeks ago.  We had 38 cashers, a 1 in 3.76 cash ratio and paid out over $7,500.00 in main and side event prize funds.

Mesa East Bowl - 4/11/21

Our event this weekend was at Mesa East Bowl which always has a great turn out! This was our first event of the 2021 Spring Circuit and we would have a lot of their league bowlers come out to bowl and take a stab at the prize fund.  We had a 2 squad record of 113 total entries (76 qualifying and 37 parlays) with 30 cashers, a 1 in 3.77 cash ratio and a payout of over $5,700.00 in main and side event prize funds. The players bowled on a 39ft PBA Chameleon oil pattern that started off playable and opened up more and more as the day went on. While the bowling center has the characteristic of creating some hook and some high scores, the pins however, really fly and it's very easy to have too much entry angle. The cut scores for the event were all in the +30's which means players had to bowl a few pins over average per game to advance.

Bowlero Kyrene - 3/28/21

Our event this weekend was at Bowlero Kyrene for our final event of the 2021 Winter Circuit.  We had an amazing turnout with 148 entries (99 qualifying and 49 economy parlays) with 38 cashers, a 1 in 3.89 cash ratio and paid out over $7,400.00 in main and side event prize funds.  The players bowled on the 42ft PBA Scorpion oil pattern that played pretty tough for most of the day.  There were some higher scores but for most of the day bowlers were able to play a variety of angles on the pattern.  The cut scores stayed around +60 for most of the day, which meant that you had to bowl about 10-15 pins over your average per game to qualify.

AMF Peoria - 3/20/21

Our event this weekend was at AMF Peoria which we haven’t been to in exactly three years!  It’s a coincidence that we returned to the center the same date as we had the last event here.  We had a pretty good turnout for a Saturday event considering all the other events going on in the Valley.  We had 63 entries (47 qualifying and 16 economy parlay), with 21 cashers a 1 in 3 cash ratio and a pay out of over $3,200.00 in main and side event prizes! The players bowled on the 38ft Atlanta pattern that proved to be very difficult.  The cut scores were pretty low being around +30, which means the players didn’t even need to bowl their average for series to advance. The pattern did allow for players to play a variety of angles though you couldn’t get too far outside or else you’re ball would not come back.  The key for today was to leave something makeable and to pick up your spares.

AMF Chandler - 3/14/21

Our weekend’s event was at AMF Chandler Lanes.  This was our Track Match Play Challenge fun event and it was the first time that we would have this event in over 4 years.  We had a good turnout with a total of 78 entries today and paid out over $1,700.00 in main and side event prize funds!  The players bowled on a 42ft Autobahn oil pattern that hooked a lot due to the lane surface at this bowling center.  The bowlers could play the middle of the lane like most long patterns, but if you got it too hard outside to quickly it would overreact by quite a bit. The scoring was pretty high all day long with cashing numbers normally averaging around +100, but it would also depend on who you were matched up against.

Bowlero Mesa - 3/7/21

This weekend’s event was at Bowlero Mesa and we had a great turnout!  We would see 136 total entries (97 qualifying and 39 economy parlays), had 40 prize winners, a 1 in 3.4 cash ratio and paid out over $7,750.00 in main and side event prize funds.  The players bowled on a very tough 38ft USBC Open Championships Team pattern that played very tight as the day went on.  The key to this pattern was to leave makeable spares and not try to get into too much trouble.  Those that were able to pick up their spares and get a few pins above average were able to advance to the quarterfinals.

AMF Union HIlls - 2/28/21

This weekend’s event was at AMF Union Hills and we had a nice turnout considering all the other events going on all over the Valley.  This is the first time that we have been back to Union Hills since right before the Covid-19 pandemic started.  So, it was good to be back in the area and we would draw 86 total entries (54 qualifying and 32 economy parlays), had 25 prize winners, a 1 in 3.44 cash ratio and paid out over $3,900.00 in main and side event prize funds. The players bowled on a 44ft London oil pattern that played a lot tighter on the fresh, but once the pattern broke down, scoring sky rocketed.  The key to this pattern was to get your ball into a roll and play a little straighter along the track.  Those that could do that were able to take advantage of the pattern.
