Let It Roll Results - 7/5/15

Location:

Althogh, a lot of bowlers were in Las Vegas for the TAT, we still wanted to have an event for our bowlers that weren't able to make it up to the TAT. The event had a light turn out, but that didn't stop us from having a good time! The players bowled on the 39ft Middle of the Road oil pattern which had pretty low scores. It seems that no matter what pattern we put down at Let It Roll, the scores are fairly low. It is a tough center in general, which normally brings out the best in players.

We had Jakob Butturff win Momma's mystery score for $500, which was very exciting! We also had quite a few new players come out to bowl! We want to welcome Patrick Simonis, Scott Cronquer, Grant Dickerson, and Craig Heyer to the SFT AHT family. We look forward to seeing you all again at your next SFT AHT event! We hope you all had a good time and we thank you for coming out to give the events a try.

The quarter finalists went straight to the final match and the divisional champions won their divisions by a pretty good margin in each division. The A division champion was Mike Bronsart, who was making his first ever SFT AHT title match. However, Mike had a ton of success with the SFT when it was under different ownership. He won the very prestigous Dream event and many other SFT titles. The B Division champion was Brian Roever who has been on a serious hot streak the last few months. Brian had a very difficult 2014, with fighting cancer and battling to keep his bowling in top shape. While 2014 didn't go well, he never gave up and is really bouncing back in 2015. The C division champion was Lynn Arthur who is so dedicated to the sport and SFT that he made it back to the event after bowling the TAT and making the finals there too.

The final match was fairly close, but was very low scoring! This was a clear advantage to Brian who is very very good at keeping the ball in play and making his spares. He was able to do that to pull away with the win,his 3rd SFT AHT title and $600.00! Lynn Arthur came in 2nd for $300 and Mike Bronsart 3rd for $200! Congrats to you three and all of the finalists!

We look forward to seeing you all at our event this weekend at Brunswick Via Linda Lanes. We will be doing a fun baker format on Saturday on the same pattern as the ACBA. The ACBA will be having an event at Via Linda on Sunday, so it will be great practice for that event! See you all there!
