Let It Roll Results - 11/8/15

Location:

This Sunday the players bowled on the 44ft Shark oil pattern that played pretty long and pretty difficult for just about everyone. Those with slower ball speeds liked the lanes a little bit better, as those that threw it hard had a hard time getting the ball to react. All in all, like in many cases, it came down to spare shooting and overall mental toughness. The event had 40 total entries (25 qualifying entires & 15 economy parlay entries), 12 cashers, a 1 in 3.4 cash ratio and paid out a little over $1,500.00 in main and side event prizefund.

We did have another new member in Steve Marks join us at this event! Thanks to him for giving the event a try. A good friend of his also made his first SFT AHT quarter finals. That would be Donald Pisula, who also was our only parlay power player. This means that Donald turned his $25 economy parlay entry into his very first quarter finals check. Also congrats to Dan Quilt who also made it to his first ever SFT AHT quarter finals. We are always excited to meet new bowlers and see new faces advancing to the quarter finals.

There was three clear winners going into the final match. Somtimes it is a real close finish to see who is going to be the divisional champions. Not at this one. Jonathan Ferrell came out as the A divisio champion defeating the next person by 30 pins. Roger Sensing won the B division by over 100 pins and Carlos Guzman the C division by over 100 pins also.

The final match was a pretty close one though. It appeared that Jonathan Ferrell had the early lead with a double and a clean game through half of the game. However, a huge 4 bagger by Carlos in frames 6-9 put him right back in the match. Roger was in the match most of the time, but a couple late opens just made the gap to large to overcome. Jonathan had a chance to strike out in the 10th to really put a lot of pressure on Carlos but was unable to. Carlos only needed a spare in the 10th which he was able to get  by converting the 6,9,10. This was Carlos's first SFT AHT title in his first ever title match. Jonathan was looking for his 3rd and Roger his 2nd. Congrats to everyone who made the quarters and also to Carlos on his win!

Thanks to everyone for coming out today! We look forward to seeing everyone at our next event at Glenfair Lanes on November 15th!
