We had another incredibly fun event on Saturday, April 20th! We bowled the 40 frame game format which is always a riot! We had 62 total entries, 15 cashers, and a 1 in 4.1 cash ratio. The bowlers bowled on a 45ft Kegel Route 66 oil pattern which proved to be very long but playable. Most of the players that had success played very deep inside angles with softer ball speeds.

We always want to welcome the new bowlers that bowled their first event with us this weekend. Kevin Gawelko, Mike Windle, Walter Kim, Connie Albano, Shawn Peters, David Ball, and Richard Amenta. Also a special congrats to Kevin Gawelko and Richard Amenta who cashed in their first try out with the SFT! Congrats guys!

After the first squad the leader was Kevin Gawelko with 1046, but there was a lot of talk about that score not holding up the entire day. Through 2 squads we had 37 entries, but Kevin still topped the leader board. The third squad drew another 24 people and proved to hold the bowler that would be able to top Kevin's score. That bowler was Ben Dewberry, who's physical game matched up perfectly for what the pattern wanted the bowlers to do. Ben bowled 1092 his final squad to take the top spot from Kevin, and with his 3rd place check included, ended up taking home $500! The other very cool story was Sam Sickles who didn't cash in the main prizefund, or the pay days. However she threw three strikes in the 40th frame aka the "Bingo, Bango, Bongo", to take home $160! Which was very exciting!

Tomorrow will be the ACBA event featuring beat the director! Should be a lot of fun! Our next event is at Mesa East Bowl next weekend and will feature all of the great stuff everyone has come to love! Mid-week qualifying, divisional insurance, senior & women's division, and guaranteed prizefund top to bottom! See you all there!
