AMF Desert Hills Results - 4/15/2012

Location:

We had another amazing turn out at AMF Desert Hills Lanes. There was a total of 96 entries which consisted of 71 qualifying entries, & 25 economy parlay entries. There were 20 bowlers that advanced to the quarter finals, which is a 1 in 3.55 cashing ratio!! Every tournament we are taking a lot of people to the finals and still paying out $1,000 for first! We couldn't do it with out all of the support from the Strike Force Tour family, so THANK YOU! The Divisional Insurance and Seniors/Women's Division really have become HUGE fan favorites. These tournament features are allowing more bowlers to make the cut at every tournament. There were some exciting things that happened this weekend. As much fun as all of the events are, this event is going to be hard to top. We had women bowlers dominate the prizes, old Strike Force Tour family members re-united, dramatic 9th & 10th frame roll off, an all lefty finals and so much more.

There was a Strike Force Tour family re-union this weekend. There was some long time supporters that came out like Bruce Downs, Chris Le Rouge, Roger Sensing, Tom Large, Bo Copeland, Lynn Arthur, Bill Bracket, Brian Roever, Ben Dewberry and many more. We also had our first 9th & 10th frame roll off in the history of AHT. Lynn Arthur and Bryce Barnette in the B division both tied at +102 for the 3rd spot in the Semis. Lynn's unfortunate split in the 10th frame ended up cutting his 2nd title hopes a little short. The "A" Division finals was an all lefty showdown between Marcus Von Tobel, Ben Spencer, & Bill Buter. It was a full fledged shoot out with the high score being 270 and the low score being 232 with handicap.

Christina Cantlin and Christina Sullivan came out to prove that WOMEN CAN COMPETE IN THE STRIKE FORCE TOUR! Christina Sullivan advanced to the quarter finals with the seniors & women's division and bowled well in the quarterfinals to fall a little short of making the next round. However, she got a surprise when she found she had won the Track 716T bowling ball! The second part of "team Christina", Christina Cantlin, ran over the field all day long. She had a big rooting section and kept them entertained with strikes all day! She bowled games of 236,239,262 & 275 with handicap to make it to the finals, where she defeated Ben Spencer easily to take home the $1,000. Congrats ladies! Great bowling!

I want to thank everyone again for coming out and supporting the Strike Force Tour Arizona Handicap Tour and each other. It was an incredible weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone at the next event at Glenfair Lanes on April 28th and April 29th which will feature the RETURN of the mid-week qualifier! See you all on the lanes! :)
