Lakeview Lanes

Lakeview Lanes- 2/15/20

Our event this weekend was at Lakeview Lanes in Sun City, AZ!  While this isn't always the most convenient for the SFT regulars, many of them still make the drive all the way to Sun City.  We had members from as far away as East Mesa and Tucson that came to bowl the event.  The members love how clean and well-kept the center is, and they like that it is a little smaller and more quaint bowling center.  In most cases we fill the entire center each squad, and so it feels like the house is there for our tournament only. The event drew 57 total entries in 2 squads which is a great turnout for being in a place that isn't as centrally located as some of the other bowling centers that we go. The players bowled on the new Kegel Element 42ft Chromium oil pattern that was very playable from multiple angles.  We would see very high scores across all 3 Divisions and would result in the highest scores we’ve seen all season.

Lakeview Lanes - 9/30/18

Our event this weekend was at the beautiful Lakeview Lanes in Sun City. Many competitive bowlers in the valley have never bowled at this center because of it being located further away and in a retirement community. Also because the nature of this center is to be an amenity for the retired community, the prices are low, food is great and service is top notch. The establishment is well-kept and well-staffed.  We had an okay turnout with 59 total entries for only two squads, which is almost 30 bowlers per squad.  Of the 59 entries, there were 41 qualifying entries and we had 21 cashers, which is a 1 in 2.8 cash ratio.  We paid out over $3,000 in main and side event prize funds!

Lakeview Lanes - 8/5/2018

Our event this weekend was at the beautiful Lakeview Lanes in Sun City. Many competitive bowlers in the valley have never bowled at this center because of it being located further away and in a retirement community. Because the nature of this center is to be an ammenity for the retired community, the prices are low, food is great and service is top notch. They always keep the establishment well kept and well staffed. We were worried about a lower turn out because of "Bowler Day" at the Diamondbacks game and because Lakeview is so far away for most. Well, the opposite happened! We had one of our best turnouts for a two squad event! We had 78 total entries through two squads, which is almost 40 bowlers per squad! Of that 78, 58 were qualifying entries, we had 22 cashers a 1 in 3.5 cash ratio and paid out over $3,000.00 in main and side event prize fund.

Lakeview Lanes - 2/25/18

Our event was at Lakeview Lanes in Sun City this weekend. It is a center that we aren't at that often, but when we are it is always a pleasure. They take great care of the center and it has a vibe and atmosphere that is hard to find in the rest of the Arizona bowling centers. It has a full resturant and acts as an ammenity to the senior community in Sun City. The event drew a good turn out for only having two squads. There were 66 total entries (45 qualifying & 21 economy parlay), 20 total cashers, a 1 in 3.3 cash ratio and we paid out a little over $3,000.00 in main and side event prize fund. The players bowled on a very tough 40ft Kegel Highway to Hell oil pattern that had very low cut scores for the day. Most divisions took in the +50 range to advance, which means that they only had to bowl 10-20 pins over average for the entire series, which is bowling a small amount over your average each game.

Lakeview Lanes Results - 5/14/16

We were excited to make our return to Lakeview Lanes after nearly two years since the last time we were there. It was a great turn out as well, with over 30 bowlers per squad and afinal 62 entries for the two squad standard event. The players bowled on the 39ft Winding Road oil pattern which started off a little tricky but quickly opened up and became one of our highest scoring events for the season. There were quite a few players that managed to go more then +150 and the average cut score crept very close to +100 but still hovered around +80. It was also high scoring because it could be played at a lot of different angles. You could play it straight, in the middle or even further left. Really, no matter the style, there was a shot for everyone, which commonly leads to very high scores.
