Glenfair Lanes

Glenfair Lanes - 01/14/2018

Our event this weekend was at Glenfair Lanes and we had another good turn out with 88 total entries (56 qualifying and 32 economy parlay), 26 total cashers, a 1 in 3.4 cash ratio and paid out just over $4,000.00 in main and side event prize funds. We were also excited to pay out $650.00 for first place since there were enough qualifying entries! The players bowled on a pattern, that I don't think we have bowled on too much, the 41ft Kegel Turnpike. This pattern is a bit different in the fact that it is medium pattern and also Glenfair Lanes had replaced the lanes earlier in the year.  It challenged bowlers to be make shots consistently and pick up spares.

Glenfair Lanes - 10/7/17

Our event this weekend was at Glenfair Lanes. It was a last minute day change from Sunday to Saturday to avoid bumping up right with another tournament that was in the center the same day. The fact that it was a Saturday and the short notice change reduced the entries a bit, but we still had a good time and did some bowling. The event had 64 total entries (44 qualifying - 23 economy parlay) had 20 cashers, a 1 in 3.2 cash ratio and paid out just under $3,000.00. The players bowled on the 41ft Rome oil pattern which played very difficult. Most players either played further inside or no further outside then 10 or 12 board. The cut scores all day long normally only required players to bowl average or slightly below.

Glenfair Lanes - 6/17/17

We had a fun little sweeper event this weekend at Glenfair Lanes. The players bowled on a 38ft Alacatraz oil pattern that seemed to offer medium to low scores early and higher scores later in the day. We did have a variety of styles do well though with some straighter players and higher rev players finishing in the top 5. The event had a total of 42 entries, 10 cashers and paid out over $1,000.00 in main and side event prize fund.

After the first squad the leader was James Roethle at +67 and the projected low to cash was a bit below that at +61. The second squad was our largest squad of the day and increased the number of cashers to 7 and lowered the projected low to cash to +51, but the new leader was Paul Williams at +87. The third squad had some players jump off to some big games with Brooke Carroll, Mike Fitzgerald, and Ron Gonzales bowling good scores the first two games.

Glenfair Lanes - 2/25/17

We had our first Saturday standard event in quite a long time! The event still had a good turn out with 75 total entries (56 qualifying and 19 economy parlay), 23 cashers and a 1 in 3 cash ratio. The players bowled on a 39ft winding road oil pattern that had very low scores early, but seemed to open up and allow for higher scoring as the day went on. Like usual with our medium length patterns, we get to see a good diversity of styles in the finals since the pattern allows for a variety of angles to be played. The straighter players had a decent line, and higher rev players could also move left and hook it a little bit with success. We want to extend a huge thanks to all of the members for supporting the event on a Saturday.

Glenfair Lanes - 11/27/16

Our 2nd to last event was another great one! We had 89 total entries (61 qualifying entries & 28 economy parlay), 24 cashers, a 1 in 3.7 cash ratio and paid out over $4,000.00 in main and side event prizefund. The players bowled on a very tricky 35ft Kegel Boardwalk oil pattern that forced most players to have their break point near the gutter. While this pattern is normally high scoring, the difference from lane to lane really kept the scoring at more of a medium pace with most cut scores being around +60.
