Brunswick Kyrene

Brunswick Kyrene - 9/4/17

Well our final major of the 2017 season didn’t disappoint! We were only a few entries away from our all time record, but did set some records in most entries ever in the 3 day sweeper and most amount of bowlers making their first ever quarter finals. The event had 247 total entries (149 qualifying – 98 economy parlay), had 66 prize winners, a 1 in 3.74 cash ratio and paid out just under $20,000.00 in main and side event prize fund!

Brunswick Kyrene - 2/19/17

Today’s event was at Brunswick Kyrene lanes and had another huge turn out! We had 124 total entries (81 qualifying entries & 43 economy parlay), 35 cashers and a 1 in 3.5 cash ratio! The event paid out over $5,000.00 in main and side event prizes.  The players bowled on a very tough 43ft Shark oil pattern that forced most players to play the middle part of the lane. After a handful of events that were short or had plenty of friction, this event was definitely a change in pace and certainly in ball speed.

Brunswick Kyrene - 12/4/16

Well our final event of 2016 was a BIG ONE! We had 107 total entries (80 Qualifying & 27 Economy Parlay), 28 cashers, a 1 in 3.7 cash ratio and paid out over $5,000.00 in main and side event prizefund! The players bowled on a very difficult 32ft PBA Wolf oil pattern, which much like last week, started off hooking A LOT but got tighter and tighter with every game that was bowled on it. Because the condition was influenced so much by the bowlers, the difference from pair to pair kept the scoring very low, with the average cut scoring being around +20, which doesn't even require bowling your average to accomplish. The difference this event compared to last weekends, is that nearly every player played the outside part of the lane, where last week, there were a few who had success playing the middle of the lane.

Brunswick Kyrene - 7/3/16

Our event was at Brunswick Kyrene this weekend, and it was another fun one! The event drew almost 100 entries, and was able to pay the $1,000.00 for first place! It had a 1 in 4 cash ratio and paid out over $4,000.00 in main and side event prize fund. The players bowled on one of the longer oil patterns that we bowl on, the 47ft Scorpion. Most players were very straight, either from the right or the middle of the lane, they didn’t “belly” the ball very much. The key was consistent speed and the ball going fairly straight off the person’s hand.

Brunswick Kyrene Results - 10/25/15

Our event this Sunday was at Brunswick Kyrene lanes on the very difficult 40ft Bear oil pattern. As expected the scoring was very low, with players easily making the cut if they bowled their average. Most players that did well were players that didn't belly the ball a whole lot. Most of the players that did well were the players that were good spare shooters compared to the other players in their division.

As always we like to congratulate our parlay power players, which at this event were Ted McKay and Dylan Taylor. Also congrats to Chase Nesvig who made it to this first ever SFT AHT quarter finals at this event. Also, Mike Hodge made his very first title match where he had a pretty good showing to almost win his first title.

The quarter finals had Dylan Taylor coming out of the A division. Ben Spencer beating Ted McKay by a very narrow margin to be the B division champion, and Mike Hodge defeating everyone in the C division.
