AMF Union Hills Results - 9/15/13

Our event at AMF Union Hills was another great one! We had 98 entries, 26 cashers, a 1 in 3.7 cash ratio, paid out nearly $5,000.00 and claimed another first time champion at his home house. The bowlers bowled on a 37ft Kegel Broadway oil pattern that yielded very high scores. This was one of our highest scoring events if not the highest scoring event we have ever had. The scores on Saturday won’t incredibly high, but it seemed that once everyone started playing the lanes similar on Sunday, the scores went through the roof! We even had a 300 game bowled by Kevin Enomoto! Most of the cut scores were over +100! Check down below for the full results and scores.

We had another incredibly fun event on Saturday, April 20th! We bowled the 40 frame game format which is always a riot! We had 62 total entries, 15 cashers, and a 1 in 4.1 cash ratio. The bowlers bowled on a 45ft Kegel Route 66 oil pattern which proved to be very long but playable. Most of the players that had success played very deep inside angles with softer ball speeds.

We always want to welcome the new bowlers that bowled their first event with us this weekend. Kevin Gawelko, Mike Windle, Walter Kim, Connie Albano, Shawn Peters, David Ball, and Richard Amenta. Also a special congrats to Kevin Gawelko and Richard Amenta who cashed in their first try out with the SFT! Congrats guys!

Wow! What an incredible week and weekend of events. We had two events this weekend for the Thanksgiving Day Holiday. One was the 40 frame tournament and the other was our traditional format. There were so many story lines that it would be too much for one page to summarize both events, so if you want to read about the 40 frame event results you can click here. The events as a total drew 137 entries; we had 91 in our standard event and 46 entries in the 40 frame event. The two events combined paid out over $6,300.00! The standard event paid out $3,840.00 in the main event and 24 entries in the sweeper combined with high game pots paid out another $681.00. We want to thank the SFT AHT family for coming out and making this another incredible weekend! We had over 70 different members come out this weekend for all of our events! The family is definitely getting big!

Well we had an incredibly fun event on Friday night. We had our first ever 40 frame game tournament. This was our 2nd event in the “Fun Force Format” series, and was probably the most fun so far. A lot of the bowlers had a blast going from frame to frame, seeing what was in store for them next. The bowlers bowled on a 39ft modified house pattern which would be the same pattern used for the weekend tournament as well. A lot of bowlers used this fun format as a way to get an idea of how to play the lanes on the weekend. The pattern really allowed bowlers of all styles to compete and didn't really have very many high scores.

Our last event was on father’s day, and even though the event was on a holiday weekend, we still drew 59 entries! It was a lot of fun and we welcomed a lot of new bowlers to the Strike Force Tour family. The event ended up having 18 cashers which is a 1 in 3.2 cash ratio! We had three members make their first SFT AHT quarter finals appearance. Big congrats to Chris Ingram, Johnny Wing Jr, and Charlie Krauch. We also had a lot of dad’s in attendance and would like to wish all of them a happy father’s day!

The big story was Charlie Krauch making his first quarter finals appearance a BIG ONE with a huge $1,000 win! Charlie was clutch in his semi-final match. He needed the first strike in the 10th frame to defeat Ron Gonzales in the A division semifinals. Congrats to Charlie on a clutch tournament victory! Charlie is good friends with a fellow SFT AHT Champion, Charlie Light. Now the race is on to see who will get the second title first!
