AMF Peoria

AMF Peoria - 6/19/21

Our event this weekend was at AMF Peoria lanes for our first Saturday event in quite a while.  We had a really good turnout with 90 entries (60 qualifying and 30 economy parlay), which meant there was an average of 45 bowlers on each squad!!!  We would have 24 cashers a 1 in 3.75 cash ratio and a paid out of over $4,700.00 in main and side event prizes! The players bowled on the 45ft Mexico City oil pattern that proved to be very difficult on the fresh.  The pattern is longer, but flat which saw an out of bounds if you go your ball too far right too early.  The cut scores were pretty low being around +30, which means the players just had to bowl their average to advance. The pattern did allow for players to play a variety of angles and once the pattern started to break down in the later squad, you could see some bowlers open up the lane.  The main key for today was to repeat shots and pick up spares.  Those that had success were able to stay clean and avoid any ugly splits.

AMF Peoria - 3/20/21

Our event this weekend was at AMF Peoria which we haven’t been to in exactly three years!  It’s a coincidence that we returned to the center the same date as we had the last event here.  We had a pretty good turnout for a Saturday event considering all the other events going on in the Valley.  We had 63 entries (47 qualifying and 16 economy parlay), with 21 cashers a 1 in 3 cash ratio and a pay out of over $3,200.00 in main and side event prizes! The players bowled on the 38ft Atlanta pattern that proved to be very difficult.  The cut scores were pretty low being around +30, which means the players didn’t even need to bowl their average for series to advance. The pattern did allow for players to play a variety of angles though you couldn’t get too far outside or else you’re ball would not come back.  The key for today was to leave something makeable and to pick up your spares.

AMF Peoria - 3/25/18

The event today was our final event for our Winter Circuit, which runs January through March.  We had a pretty good turnout, considering there were multiple tournaments going on the same day.  Also some bowlers that still had a chance to try and move into the Top 4 of the Winter Circuit standings with a win or cash.  We ended up having 82 entries (59 qualifying & 23 economy parlay), 25 cashers and a 1 in 3.1 cash ratio. The event paid out over $3,800.00 in main and side event prize fund! The players bowled on a very tough 41ft Kegel Turnpike oil pattern that challenged bowlers to make shots consistently.  Bowlers had early success playing right early on and then trying to moving inside once the oil started to carry down.

Well our 2 squad events are going really well. The members are finding them much quicker, allowing them to get together, have some fun, bowl for some real cash and still have some Sunday to do other things. This event we also saw a very good balance of entries per division, with 17 in A, 17 in B and 18 in C. The event as a whole drew 78 entries (52 qualifying and 26 economy parlay) in 2 squads, had 21 cashers a 1 in 3.8 cash ratio and paid out over $3,000.00 in main and side event prizes.

We had our very first event on the far west side of the town and it was a great one! We had a lot of new members from the west side come out to compete and join the Strike Force Tour Family. The event drew a total of 79 entries, had 22 cashers, a 1 in 3.6 cash ratio, and paid out over $2,000. We were in a part of town we have never been in, but the support from old and new SFT family members was amazing as always! We had some great story lines and more memories to add to the 2012 season.
